Wine Evaluations: Mini Round-Up for September 30, 2024

.I taste a bunch-o-wine (technological condition for more than many people). So weekly, I share several of my red or white wine evaluations (usually coming from samples) as well as sampling keep in minds in a "mini-review" style. 2019 Michele Chiarlo 'Palas' (Barolo): Earthy, tasty, and not afraid to stretch its own muscular side. $NA A-.
NV Castagner Grappa Riserva 7 Anni 'Fuoriclasse Leon' (Trentino): More evidence that the Italians have a tendency to maintain all the really good Grappa for themselves ... $NA A-.
2023 Elena Walch Pinot Bianco Alto Adige (Trentino-Alto Adige): As constantly, a mineral-rich, fresh-as-a-daisy deal. $23 A-.
2021 Grosjean Vins 'Premetta' (Vallee d'Aoste): Deftly showing why a glass of wine nerds are actually all around the spicy reds coming from this region right now. $32 A-.
2019 Marilena Barbera 'Micro Cosmo' (Perricone Menfi): Spice, rut, reddish fruit, and a ton of fun. $36 B+.
2021 Skouras Moscofilero (Peloponnese): Fans of acid and citrus, express joy as well as drain!! $19 B+.
2018 Lost Eden Red Blend (Kakheti, Georgian Commonwealth): A gotten taste, for sure practically syrupyin its own prosperous, wanton style. $22 B.
2022 The Ordinary Fellow Syrah 'Gulch of the Ancients Vineyard' (Colorado): Evidently, through this mouth watering red's saying to, CO's Ordinary Other is actually never actually ordinary! $NA A-.
2018 Bodega Amalaya Malbec (Salta): Smoky, flower, spicy, juicy ... all packages are actually checked out below. $17 B.
2020 Pascual Toso Cabernet Sauvignon (Mendoza): Putting an excellent-- and delicious-- foot onward in its own fruit-forward means. $15 B.
